- Eric Church celebrated his first No 1 single this week, with “Drink In My Hand” a song he co-wrote with Luke Laird.
- Jay DeMarcus, of Rascal Flatts, and his wife have announced they are expecting a baby boy!
- Scotty McCreery says he will return to his High School baseball team after he finishes touring with Brad Paisley. Although when he attempted to rejoin the team last season, he missed a majority of the season due to American Idol.
- Singer / Songwriter Randy Montana and his wife welcomed Baby Girl Sullivan on February 27.
- Lauren Alaina will be the only “Country” American Idol Alumni to return to the show this season, so far there is no word on Carrie Underwood or Scotty McCreery returning for a performance.
