Jake brings bulldog Merle on the road while touring, although Jake owns two bulldogs, Jake says Vern has become “angry and mean” so it was time for him to stay home. Bulldogs are accustomed to a very sedimentary lifestyle, so Vern is probably much happier at home.

I think it’s honestly a really smart way to work through things.”
