South Florida loves Dierks Bentley! On the heels of performing at the final NASCAR race of the season in Homestead this past Sunday, it has been announced that he will be headlining the halftime show at the upcoming Orange Bowl to be held at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens, FL in early January. Additionally, the most recent winner of The Voice, Danielle Bradbery will perform the National Anthem before the game. It’s a great sign of the times when country music entertainers are being utilized for major events such as the NASCAR finale and the Orange Bowl!
One of the biggest events featuring country music each year is the Florida Strawberry Festival in Plant City, and the 2014 lineup does not disappoint!
Tickets go on sale on December 5th at 8:00 am. Admission tickets are required in addition to all concert tickets. The lineups for the free entertainment on side stages will be announced at a later date, but for now, check out this year’s lineup of headlining entertainment!

What is No Shave November?
Like our beards, No Shave November continues to grow! What began as a light-hearted wager among co-workers at Warner Music Nashville is now an annual event engaging Music Row, County Radio, and individuals across the nation. In its first two years, No Shave November raised more than $175,000 for the kids of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The 2013 goal is a to raise more than $150,000.
South Florida Country Music, LLC is jumping into the fray this year with their own donation team, and we are asking for your help to show the country music industry that we have the best fans out there! We have set our team goal at a mere $1,000 (that’s like, 15 cents per Facebook fan!). Donor names and amounts can both be made anonymously, and you can donate as little or as much as you’d like!
You can also help by inviting your friends to this Event Invite, or by posting the link on your Facebook or Twitter accounts to get your friends involved. Thanks for helping us reach our goal for the kids of St. Jude!
The NASCAR season comes to an end this Sunday in Homestead with the Ford Ecoboost 400 at the Homstead-Miami Speedway, and country music will be well-represented at the race. First, Dierks Bentley will be performing a pre-race concert, then Toby Keith will be Grand Marshal to get the race started.
“Toby Keith is an American icon and, like Homestead-Miami Speedway, he has a great partnership with Ford,” said Homestead-Miami Speedway President Matthew Becherer. “He is the perfect individual to officially start the Ford EcoBoost 400. We’ll have live music before the race from Miami’s own DJ Irie and country music recording artist Dierks Bentley. And then Toby will keep the excitement going by giving the command for drivers to start their engines and begin 267 laps of championship racing.”
