Billy Currington

99.9 Kiss Country (WKIS-Miami) hosted their most recent Undercover Concert this past Friday (May 16th) at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale, and boy were fans in for a big surprise!  Billy Currington, fresh off rocking the stage at the Tortuga Music Festival in Ft. Lauderdale last month, was the surprise artist to walk out for what might have been the best show yet in the series.

In the past, most shows last about 40-45 minutes, and are often intimate, acoustic shows.  Currington played for an hour with a fully-produced stage show complete with a full band and lights.  The energy level of the room never dropped from the moment that he walked out until the crowd trickled out after the show!

Currington covered most of his catalog of hits spanning his 10+ years, as well as some fun covers as you’ll see listed below.  My only disappointment was that he didn’t play his debut single, “Walk a Little Straighter.”   Overall, it was definitely a fun night full of great music!   For photos of the show, click here.
