Summer vacations as a kid meant annual trips to Sanibel and Captiva Islands off the coast of Ft. Myers in southwest Florida, so imagine my surprise to get a press release today about a new song from Scott Coner called “Sanibel” about the hidden paradise that was my second home growing up. Check out the studio video of Coner and his band performing the song!

Check out this video by The Crazy Daysies for a song called “We Are America.”
The Crazy Daysies, Americana-country band based in Jacksonville, recorded a new song, “We Are America,” to commemorate the anniversary of September 11. The song is the first recording sisters Rebecca Day and Jennifer Day Thompson did not write. It was, as poets sometimes say, “a found song.”
