97.5 WPCV Promotes Jon Dennis to Morning Show

As reported by Country Aircheck, nighttime host Jon Dennis has been promoted to the 97.5 WPCV (Lakeland) morning show as the replacement for Roger Todd, who left the station last year.  Dennis will be replaced on the night shift by BJ “Bubba James” Odom, who was previously a part-time weekend/fill-in host for the award-winning station.

“I’m very grateful that the management at Hall Communications continues to believe in me and present me with opportunities for growth at WPCV,” shares Dennis via Facebook.

Dennis joined the station in 2015 and was named to his most recent post last March. Odom’s prior stops include WMYR-AM/Fort Myers, FL and faith-based internet station UpWord Country Radio. He continues his work as ShaqFu Radio’s equity partner, as well.

Joyland is back!  Rebranding as Joyland Live, the long-time favorite west coast venue returns with a Grand Opening in Sarasota!  Here is the info they posted this morning on Facebook:

WE ARE OFFICIALLY OPEN!

As some of you may’ve heard on 92.1 CTQ with Maverick and Lulu this morning, Joyland is OPEN!

We’re so excited to announce that Joyland Live will be opening its doors for the FIRST TIME at our new location at the corner of University and Lockwood Ridge today at 4pm with live music from 22N starting at 9:30pm!

Tomorrow, the LEGENDARY Joyland Country Saturday nights returns with DJ Trevor and live music by Crossfire Creek at 9:30pm!
