We are glad to hear that Wade Hayes is now cancer-free after surgery and months of chemo followed the heartbreaking news that the 42 year-old was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer, which had also spread to his liver.   Hayes told Country Aircheck, “I had somewhere between a one-in-16 and one-in-eight chance of surviving.”  While he was fighting for his life, he had time to do a lot of writing, including a song titled, “Is It Already Time.”

“I’m so glad to be here and so thankful.  I want people to take the song to heart and remember that life is precious and can turn on a dime.”

Check out the video below to hear the song.

Surfdog Records has released this video for Glen Campbell’s song, “A Better Place,” which is off his final studio album, Ghost on the Canvas.  This farewell video showcases Campbell looking back at his life and career.  He also sends a personal message to his wife, Kimberley, a former Radio City Music Hall dancer that the Rhinestone Cowboy met on a blind date in 1981.  “My love goes out to Kim, my amazing grace.  You’ve been by my side through these changing times, and it means the world to me.”

Glen Campbell is a Country Music Hall of Fame legend with countless awards, #1 hits, top-selling albums, and more.  He is currently battling Alzheimer’s, and is wrapping up his career in the public eye.  Do yourself a favor and immerse yourself in his music for an evening…it will be a trip down memory lane and a reminder of what an iconic treasure he truly is.  It was an honor to get to witness him perform at the 2012 CMA Music Fest in Nashville this past June, a memory I personally will cherish for the rest of my life.
