It has been announced that Kenny Chesney will be coming out with his own line of rum this May!  It will be sold under the brand name of Blue Chair Bay, and will feature three flavors upon it’s inception.  With flavors such as Premium White, Coconut, and Spiced Coconut, there’s going to be some nice options to choose from when it hits stores!

“Everybody’s always expected this from me,” says the man from Luttrell, Tennessee. “There have been people who’ve approached us, stories that have gone around over the years.  But rum is what I drink, and I always told myself:  ‘If I was going to do this, I wanted to create something I could be really proud of!’  Not just take a check and a piece of a company, but make the rum I truly wanted to drink.”

The rum is already getting rave reviews, as the company has already received a score of 90 from the prestigious The Ultimate Spirits Challenge, unheard of for a pre-launch spirit.

“Anyone who knows me knows I’ve drunk a lot of rum in a lot of places,” Chesney muses.  “And the more you drink, the more you know what you wish you could have.  I finally decided there was no reason not to… I’d met some incredible business people who think outside the box like I always have; they also believe in realizing impossible dreams.  All I had to do was decide once we started tasting what that flavor that truly felt like the end of the day in the islands was…”

Do you plan on trying it when it comes out?

DAVIE, Fla. —Colt Ford took some time away from the golf course on March 21st to put on an electrifying show at Cowboy’s Saloon in Davie, FL.  It is no wonder that fans come flocking to watch this country music rapper, with his innovative sound that combines traditional country and contemporary hip hop undertones.

Ford took the stage around 9 p.m. following a set by up-and-coming artist Coy Taylor (pictured above).  He opened with “Answer to No One” from his fourth album, Declaration of Independence, followed by some of his other hits “Cold Beer,” “Country Thang,” and “Chicken & Biscuits.”  Of course the show wouldn’t be complete without the chart-topping single “Dirt Road Anthem,” which he co-wrote with Brantley Gilbert in 2011.

Among the most memorable moments of the show was when Ford traded places with lead drummer, Rick Brothers, halfway through the lineup.  Brothers led the audience in a Twisted Sister’s classic—“We’re Not Gonna Take It”—while Ford played percussion in the background.

The band ended the set with a rendition of LMFAO’s “Sexy and I Know It” in addition to Train’s “Drive By.”  As an encore, they opted for two fan favorites, “No Trash in My Trailer” and “It’s All.”

Ford played the next day in Melbourne at the Runaway Country Space Coast Festival alongside Dierks Bentley, Sara Evans, The Lacs, Jill’s Cashbox, and The Samantha Russell Band.  He’s scheduled for another appearance in Florida on April 10th at the Clay County Fairgrounds in Green Cove Springs after he visits a number of venues in Texas and Oklahoma.
