Updated: Lady Antebellum Announce New Album!

Lady Antebellum announced today that their new album titled Golden will be out on May 7th!  This will be there 4th studio album and it features the lead single, “Downtown.”

“This album feels to me like one of those that from start to finish could be a good road-trip record and that’s what we wanted,” said Lady A’s Charles Kelley. “It’s one of the reasons why the term ‘golden’ was kind of cool. I think about road trips and driving down the road with those little streaks of sunshine popping through the trees, especially at sunset. ‘Golden’…it just gives you this warm, easy feeling.”

“Writing and recording this record really took us back to when we first met each other,” added Hillary Scott. “When I first met the boys, we spent a lot of time around the piano at the house they lived in at the time. We didn’t really know each other at all, but there was still some magic and then the harmonies – that’s how it all started – that blend of our voices and that blend of our songwriting craft. So, it’s exciting that even on our fourth record, we can still find that.”

“The word ‘golden’ to me conjures up a lot of pictures,” continued Dave Haywood. “In the title track, it depicts driving down the road at sunset but, to me, it also depicts a special time in our career…a ‘golden,’ special time for us. We definitely want to value this time in our careers because it’s such a treasure that we can still sit in a room and write songs together. I personally feel so humbled to still be making records that people are excited to hear.”

Cracker Barrel to Release Special Edition of Brad Paisley’s “Wheelhouse”

We already knew that Brad Paisley’s new album, Wheelhouse, would be released on April 9th, and now we’ve learned that Cracker Barrel will be selling a Special Edition version of the album!  The album sold at Cracker Barrel will include 3 exclusive tracks.

Special guests joining Paisley on Wheelhouse – Special Edition include Charlie Daniels, LL COOL J, Eric Idle, Mat Kearney, Dierks Bentley, Hunter Hayes, and the late Roger Miller.  Paisley produced his new album and wrote or co-wrote all 17 of the tracks.

Check out newcomer Austin Webb’s debut video, “It’s All Good” and tell us what you think!  The South Carolina native is signed to Streamsound Records and has been on a radio tour introducing himself to Country Radio.

“‘It’s All Good’ really captures good love and good times in a lighthearted and groovy manner,” says Webb.  “It’s about waking up beside a good looking woman and just forgetting the problems of daily life.  It only took about a half a pack of cigarettes to write!”

Check out this video of Joe Diffie, Sammy Kershaw, and Aaron Tippin singing their song, “All in the Same Boat” and tell us what you think!  They are currently on tour together…unfortunately there are no Florida dates at this time.

The video is somewhat of a teaser for what’s to come later this summer when the three country legends release an untitled full-length collaborative album.  The official release date will be announced in coming weeks.

Fan voting is now open for the ACM Entertainer of the Year award!  This year’s nominees are Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert, Taylor Swift, and Blake Shelton.  Coincidentally, Bryan and Shelton will be co-hosting the show this year.  You can vote now at www.VoteACM.com.

The winner will be announced during the 48th Annual ACM Awards which will broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 7th at 8pm.
