Casey James, season nine finalist on American Idol, will return to the stage April 4 to debut his new single, “The Good Life.”  The Texas native will be joined by season 4 Idol winner Carrie Underwood, who will also perform throughout the night.

“This is a dream come true,” said Casey. “To be returning to the show as an artist, to sing and play music that I wrote, co-produced and poured myself into, it doesn’t get any better for me! I think ‘The Good Life’ is such a fitting song too.”

To celebrate his return to Idol, James is also sponsoring a countdown contest on Facebook where fans can enter to win signed CDs, apparel, and other merchandise.

Stay tuned on April 4, 8PM ET/PT to see Casey’s first return back to the American Idol Stage!
