In case you haven’t heard, we have launched a new website!  Thanks to the success of South Florida Country Music, we decided to expand with a national site which will become the parent to South Florida Country Music.  The new site, which can be found at hometowncountrymusic.com, will be the new home for our coverage of country music news at a national level.  South Florida Country Music’s site will now be used to cover all things country music-related in the state of Florida, with non Florida-related news being fed to SFCM’s network of social media by the new site.

We hope you will join us at hometowncountrymusic.com, where we will be publishing all of our coverage of the 2013 CMA Fest in the coming days.  We also encourage you to check out the Contests Tab on hometowncountrymusic.com, where we have some great contests going on right now to help promote the launch of the new site. 

Palm Beach County Library System Launches Free Music Downloads!

The Palm Beach County Library System has launched a new program that allows its members the ability to download free music!

Here is the info from their website on how it works:

How Freegal Music Works:

  • Library users have a weekly download limit. You will be able to keep track of your downloads in the upper right corner of the site. Every song has a sample clip you can listen to before you download.
  • The downloads on this site are all in the MP3 format with no DRM. This service will work with any MP3 player, including iPod, and can be loaded into iTunes. It works on both PCs and Macs. Check out our new mobile apps for iOS and Android devices!
  • Be sure to check out the browsing areas, especially Artists A to Z (on the “see all genres” page) and the genre lists (menu bar). Click on see all genres to view dozens of categories.
