Between the CMA Awards and the ACA’s the Zac Brown Band had been nominated for a total of 14 awards!
The band tweeted recently about their run of bad country music awards luck. “On a 14 award losing streak. Does that make us eligible for the Andrew Luck sweepstakes?” they said in a tweet, referring to the practice of the NFL team with the worst record getting a chance to choose first in the April draft. Stanford University quarterback Andrew Luck is favored to be the top pick.
We here at SFCM had been wondering how long it would take the band to speak out over being nearly “snubbed” during this years award season… Hopefully 2012 will be better for their awards run!
