A Tennessee judge ruled in favor of Tim McGraw, in what has been a long and still ongoing legal battle over the Country Super Star recording new music. The judge ruled that McGraw is free to record new music under a new record label, while McGraw’s lawsuit against Curb Records is being heard in the courts. The court proceedings will continue in July of 2012, where the decision will be made if McGraw actually “breached” his contract with Curb Records. If he is found in breach of contract, there might be restitution due.

This will be the first time in 21 years that Tim McGraw has had his music on a label other than Curb.  While it’s been 2 years since McGraw released new music, there has been a finished album waiting to be released – although many highly doubt it will ever be released since it is in the possession of Curb Records.
