American Idol has been a long-running ratings success for Fox, and while other singing shows have come and gone since then, it wasn’t until NBC launched The Voice last year that Idol faced stiff competition as top dog.  Because of this success, it looks like another batch of copycats are coming along next season to try to duplicate it.

First, The CW is jumping into the action with a new show titled “Star Next Door” which will feature John Rich of Big & Rich, Queen Latifah, and Gloria Estefan as mentors to aspiring artists who will compete in Hollywood.

Not to be left out, ABC will be launching a show titled “Duets” which will feature Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland, Kelly Clarkson, Lionel Ritchie, and Robin Thicke.  This is an interesting development as the latter 3 have been serving as advisers on the current season of NBC’s The Voice.

Which show are you more excited to see?
