For the Eli Young Band a #1 song has been 12 years of waiting. The band had an impromptu #1 celebration while on tour with Dierks Bentley, but yesterday the band & Lee were presented with their #1 plaques.
While Lee Brice is no stranger to writing #1 songs, this one means a lot to Lee being that he requested the song be on his album, but the record label didn’t feel it was a proper fit. Lee said unlike with the Garth Brooks 2007 smash #1 “More Than A Memory” he had a chance to enjoy watching “Crazy Girl” work it’s way up the charts over the weeks until it finally hit the coveted #1 slot.
