Night two at LP Field (Friday, June 8th) was another amazing night with an amazing lineup.  They continued the “Living Legends” them for the opening acts by having Ronnie Milsap do a few songs to get things started.  This was another amazing moment for me, I’m so glad I got to witness it.

He was followed up by Brantley Gilbert, who got the place rockin’ with “My Kinda Party,” “Dirt Road Anthem,” “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do,” and “Country Must Be Country Wide.”

Next up was Jake Owen, who is well on his way to becoming one of the next headliners on the country music scene.  He has a great command of the stage, and is always very fan friendly.  At one point, he climbed down from the stage to the platform just above the pit where the Fan Photo Line was moving by to pose for some photos with fans.  With over 65,000 fans in attendance, the dozen or so swarmed around him were in for a real treat.  He closed his set with “Barefoot Blue Jean Night,” which was a mesmerizing moment as he had all the fans waving their hands back and forth in unison.  Awesome stuff.

Gwen Sebastian performed next, doing a short acoustic set from on top of the sound tower towards the back of the field.  Gwen had been working hard to make a name for herself for years, and was finally given her big break after Blake Shelton chose her to be part of Team Blake.  She’s now currently on the road with Blake as a background singer, and has just released her debut single to radio!

The Band Perry was next, and I took a break from photographing the show to hit the bathroom and grab dinner, since I’ve seen them a lot lately.  Sorry TBP fans!

Blake Shelton took the stage next, and while he’s one of my favorites, his set seemed a bit disappointing as he only performed 4 songs.  Many fans were left disgruntled after that.

Randy Houser was next to perform an acoustic set on the sound tower, introducing his new single.  He got the crowd riled up again in time for the closer of the night, Carrie Underwood.  Carrie came out looking hot (see photos below!), and rocked the stage with a mix of hits and new songs from her recently released album Blown Away.

It was another fun night that left the crowd exhilarated before many of them migrated over to the downtown area to party the night away on Broadway!
